In July 2015, SDM attorney Kennon Wooten became a member of the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas. Created by the Bar in 1992, the Pro Bono College recognizes those attorneys who have far exceeded the Bar’s aspirational pro bono goals in their efforts to meet the vast unmet legal needs of the poor—by providing at least 75 hours of eligible pro bono services during the previous year. Kennon far exceeded even the Pro Bono College requirements, completing 113.5 hours of pro bono service for Volunteer Legal Services in 2014.
