In Loving Memory of Our Friend and Partner, Sam Johnson
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of our beloved partner and dear friend, Sam Johnson.
Sam was a cornerstone of our firm and a light in all of our lives. Brilliant, warm, humble, and unfailingly kind, Sam was a joy to be around. He brought out the best in others through his grace, humor, and deep compassion. He was patient with colleagues, generous with his time, and deeply committed to the people he served and worked alongside.
Sam joined our firm in 1988, and for more than three decades, he dedicated himself to lifting people up — clients, coworkers, and friends alike. He loved the law, but he loved people more. He especially loved his family, and there was nothing he was prouder of than his daughters. He spoke of them often, with deep affection and joy.
Sam cherished his roots. He held a profound admiration for his father — a decorated World War II hero, a revered public servant, and an esteemed judge. Sam was equally moved by the quiet strength and selfless love of his mother, who devoted her life to her family and those in need.
He was a proud Baylor alumnus, a loyal friend, and a man whose integrity shaped every part of his life. His loss leaves a void that cannot be filled.
We grieve deeply with Sam’s family and with one another. He was more than a colleague — he was family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the wisdom he shared, and the light he brought into our days.
We will miss him immensely.
