SD&M Defeats Suit to Halt City’s Construction of Drinking Water Infrastructure
A team of SD&M lawyers, representing the City of Austin and City officials, won dismissal of claims brought by two community interest groups to enjoin all construction on Water Treatment Plant No. 4. Water Treatment Plant No. 4 is a long-planned municipal infrastructure project needed to provide drinking water to the growing population in Northwest Austin. At the close of argument on April 12, Senior Travis County District Judge Margaret Cooper dismissed all of the claims to halt construction on the water treatment plant.
