Several SDM lawyers will present at the Texas State Bar Oil and Gas Disputes CLE program in January.

Jane Webre will present a Supreme Court Case Law Update on Oil and Gas Related Cases. Jane practices civil appellate law and handles most of the firm's appeals. She has argued appeals in the United States Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Texas, and many of the courts of appeals around the state.

Bryan Lauer will participate on a panel talking about Royalty Litigation. Bryan focuses on energy industry litigation and regulatory practice at the Railroad Commission of Texas.

Mark Hanna and John Hicks will present on Retained Acreage and Depth Issues in Oil & Gas Leases: The Courthouse and Regulatory Perspective. In addition to their litigation and regulatory work, Mark and John both counsel clients on a variety of energy-related topics, including title issues, contract issues, royalty payments, and oil and gas lease interpretation. John is Board Certified in Oil, Gas & Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
