Doug practices oil, gas, and energy law, including civil litigation and regulatory matters before the Railroad Commission of Texas, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, and Texas General Land Office. He joined the firm in 1984 after a brief career as a petroleum landman followed by law school. A board certified attorney in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law, Doug has tried cases in various parts of Texas and handled numerous contested Railroad Commission cases. He has represented operators, lessees, and lessors. A significant portion of Doug’s work involves advice and representation on Texas Comptroller severance tax matters.
