Google Cleared of Patent Infringement Allegations

After a four day trial in early October, a Western District of Texas jury cleared Google LLC of patent infringement allegations regarding its Nest Hub products.

In February 2020, Profectus Technology LLC sued Google for infringement of a digital picture frame patent. The jury determined that Google did not willfully infringe the patent nor did it actively induce infringement of the asserted patent claims. The jury also determined that the claims asserted from the '308 patent are invalid.

Paige Amstutz and Steve McConnico serve as local Patent Litigation counsel for Google LLC, along with O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Farella Braun & Martel LLP.
